A tiled floor in January takes the warmth out of a session faster than an open window does. Marina worked that out in the tall flats of Oud-Zuid, where the heating is generous and the ground underfoot never quite gets the message, and she now travels with something to put down. English only, used sparingly and never to fill a pause. Twenty-eight, steady, and content to spend the first quarter of an hour on nothing more ambitious than getting a guest warm.
