Soapy massage in Amsterdam, and the bathroom the weather decides
Soapy begins in the bathroom, uses foam and warm water as its medium and moves to the bed afterwards, or stays where it started if the bathroom is worth staying in. That makes it the single format on this list whose quality is decided by the room before anybody arrives. In the four or five hot nights the city gets each summer it is the obvious booking, because it is the only one that cools while it works. In February it is a different proposition: a tiled bathroom on an outside wall loses heat quickly, and a session that starts cold does not recover. Neither of those is a rule. Both are worth a line in the first message, because the answer you get back will be shaped around what you say about the bathroom.
Where it comes from
Foam and water work grew out of bathhouse traditions across several countries, where the bath was the room and the massage happened inside it as a matter of course. The portable version is a compromise with plumbing: what survived was the foam, the water and the order of events, and what was lost was the room built for it. Operators in northern cities have worked around that for decades with the same two tricks, which are to start with heat and to keep the session moving before anything cools.
How the hour is worked
Warm water first, then foam applied by hand and spread by contact rather than by rubbing. The slide comes from the foam, so nothing is gripped and no pressure point is created anywhere. She keeps water running over the skin at intervals, which is as much about temperature as about technique. The move to the bed is done dried and quickly, because that transition is where a cold room does its damage. On the bed the work is oil based and slower, and the two halves are usually about equal.
What an hour holds
It begins with water rather than with oil, and the first stretch is spent getting warm rather than getting anywhere. Foam is worked over the skin by hand and by body, which produces a slide closer to nuru than to oil and a temperature that stays even because the water keeps it there. There is usually a move to the bed partway through, dried and warm, for slower work with oil. She brings what she needs and uses the room's water and nothing else of the room's. Her limits are stated at the start of the visit in her own words and they hold for the whole of it.
Who sends for it
A hot airless night in a room with no air conditioning. A guest in a hotel room with a large, warm and well lit bathroom. Anyone who wants the slide of a gel format without the setup a gel format needs. It suits a small cold bathroom badly, it suits a guest who wants to lie down and stay down badly, and in either of those cases body to body or oil work is the better use of the same money.
What you are left with
In a hot week it is the only format that leaves you cooler than it found you, which after three airless nights is worth a great deal. In any week it puts warmth into skin quickly, because water carries heat far faster than oil can.
At your address
Soapy massage brought to hotel rooms and apartments across central Amsterdam, foam and warm water first, oil work afterwards, arranged around the bathroom, outcall.
Length
Ninety minutes is the length that fits, given that the first part happens standing up and the change from bathroom to bed takes a few minutes. A single hour works if the bathroom is good and you are not inclined to linger. Two hours is for a hot night where the point is to spend the evening in water rather than to get anywhere in particular.

Questions
Asked often, answered once
Why is this the booking suggested during a heatwave?
Because it works with the heat rather than against it. Water carries temperature away from skin, so a format built on warm water and foam leaves you cooler at the end than a full contact oil session can, and in a top floor room in August that difference is the whole evening. It is the one recommendation on this site that flips completely between January and July.
My hotel bathroom is small. Does that rule it out?
Not automatically, but say so in the thread. A small bathroom shortens the first half and makes the move to the bed happen sooner, which is fine. A small bathroom that is also cold is the combination to avoid, because the session spends its opening stretch losing ground. In that case the same money buys a better evening as ninety minutes of body to body.
Is there anything I need to have ready?
Hot water and a couple of spare towels of the room's own, and that is genuinely all. She brings her towels, the foam and whatever else is needed. Turn the bathroom heating on early if it has any, particularly in the cold months, because a warm bathroom is the difference between a good first half and a short one.
